About Us

About Abraham Olakanmi Apata Foundation (ABOLAF)

Abraham Olakanmi Apata Foundation (ABOLAF) is a not-for-profit corporation, formed to further the cause of humanity – particularly to help the less-privileged have access to equitable and quality education, and offer care for special-needs children and the aged in the society.

The Foundation was established to recognize and immortalize the humane dispositions of late Mr. Abraham Olakanmi Apata, who was born October 18, 1939 and passed on to glory on July 17, 2003. He was aged 64 years. While he yet lived, he was a lover of children and took keen interest in their development and growth, as well as the general well-being of people around him.

ABOLAF, by the nature of its incorporation, is set-up purely for charity and not for profit-making…partnering with like-minded individuals and organisations to pool resources together: money, materials and expertise, towards assisting the less-privileged to have access to education, care and love. ABOLAF’s Programs are accessible to all, regardless of tribe, nationality, religion, gender or societal status.

  • OUR VISION
  • OUR MISSION
  • OUR CORE VALUES
  • OUR PHILOSOPHY

To be a bridge between less-privileged children, including those with special needs, and the full realization of their potentials; and to offer such supports to society’s senior citizens as will make the rest of their lives worth living.

To muster necessary cooperations and develop/implement such programs as are appropriate to ensuring that no child in deprived of a bright future for lack of access to quality education and care; and to making the aged feel loved and feel happy…even in their old age.

To touch lives positively – especially at formative years and in the twilight of life.

The whole essence of life is touching lives, positively…thinking of and giving to those in need.
